Nancy Easter White
I grew up in rural Virginia, on a farm stretched along the mighty James. When time allowed, I sketched, painted, and created things. The child of two writers, it was my intention to escape what I saw as the morose abyss of sad southern literature for vet science. (HaHa). After coming very close to flunking organic chemistry at the University of Virginia, I humbly (crawled back to Arts) accepted that English offered the only way to salvage my GPA. Gratefully, with BA in hand, I began an editorial career with the Law & Business division of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich.
Years later, I completed graduate work at the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Historic Preservation. The inspiration for my graduate thesis and passion for architecture and photography came with my first 4x5 negative of the front façade of the First African Baptist Church in Beaufort, SC. Since that day, I have been passionate about design and the building trades.
Working over the years as an architectural photographer, I jumped into marketing and business development for the A/E/C industry in 2006. Since then I have worked with construction, engineering, landscape architecture and architecture firms, developing proposals, social media and communications of all kinds. After years in business development, I understand that helping people to build trusting relationships is the key to success. There is no shortcut.
